Thanks for stoppin’ by… We are SO EXCITED to share our love of painting and calligraphy with you. We figured we’d start this blog post with a bit of our back story, including how we became artists, how we met, and what our vision for Brush & Letter Co. is. We hope to bring you joy as we help you celebrate love, laughter, and all things meaningful!
So a little history on Kate….
She’s sweet, sassy, and always classy 😉 but for real. This girl has a heart of gold and is so fun to be around! Kate has been an artist all her life and loves painting whimsical portraits in many mediums, including watercolor and acrylic. She has her own brand, See Kate Paint, where she offers insanely realistic chalk art, super sweet whimsical faceless portraits, and acrylic paintings that can make anyone smile! She is a (super)mom of 3 and wife to her best friend, Casey. She and her family love Disney, and I’m constantly amazed by her ability to juggle homeschooling (thanks Covid!), parenthood, and business, all while having fun! Kate is the “Brush” in Brush & Letter Co, and draws/paints these beautiful portraits of you and your loved ones!
This is Paige writing (hey y’all!), and I’m about the most introverted extrovert you’ll meet. I love popcorn, movies, bike rides, and cuddling my children 😉
I grew up in Orlando and taught Kindergarten for a while before having my own 2 kids! I always knew I loved art, but it wasn’t until I wanted to be home with them more that I even considered making it a business. I launched my own biz, Two Peas Paper Co. officially in 2017 and absolutely love watercolor and calligraphy. I am the “Letter” in Brush & Letter Co. as I calligraph all of our orders, but I also love helping to paint you and your guests when we serve you at live art events! My husband Tim and I met the first week of college and have been together ever since. I’m a huge UCF fan but don’t necessarily know how to follow football or sports, ha!
Alright so you’ve met us… now how did WE meet? I had this idea for a gift for a dear friend who lost her son, but I wanted to collaborate with Kate (who I found on a good ole Mom’s group on Facebook!) because I loved her faceless portraits so much! I’ve thought for a couple years about how to offer live art calligraphy at weddings and events, and dabbled in it a bit; but I thought we should chat more about how she and I could collaborate in the future using both of our skills to create a one-of-a-kind, incredible experience for guests. So we did! We met at a little French cafe in our favorite little town of Winter Garden, and had ourselves a merry old time for HOURS! We hit it off right away and felt like instant friends. Soon after we made a plan to start Brush & Letter Co, the ideas for products started flowing and haven’t stopped since. We are thrilled to offer funny, uplifting, and witty products to the BLCo line and can’t wait to keep ’em coming.
Have a product suggestion for us? Want to see your favorite characters on coffee mugs, prints, greeting cards, and more? Send us an email or DM us on social media – we LOVE hearing what makes you smile and can’t wait to create more of it for you!
Live Art is what started it all, and we can’t wait to create an INSANELY cool experience for your guests as they enjoy your event. Who wouldn’t be over the moon to both watch AND take home their very own hand-painted and hand-lettered portrait!? We are so excited to watch what God does through Brush & Letter Co. and super thankful you’re along for the ride. Thanks for being here and sharing your joy with us!
